Being in Japan for 3.5 years, the ETC card was by far the best investment for travel all over Japan. I used it in Okinawa and even provided it to a Taxi a couple of times and got cheaper rates while using the tolls around Japan. What a great way to save some funds on tolls on nights, weekends, and Japanese holidays!
